This is probably a unique combination of seven plates made by Charles Jacque on one copper plate, so before cutting. No other impression has been found and this is a perfect example of vignettes by Jacque.
Charles Jacque who was called the “Raphael of the Sheep” was born in Paris in 1813 and very young proved to be an excellent engraver and etcher, highly appreciated in England where he lived for two years as representative of the Charivari.
